Zoom real-time voice translation rollout

Zoom Video Communications launched a new Voice Translator feature that removes language barriers in video meetings. The AI‑driven tool captures spoken audio, transcribes it via automatic speech recognition, translates the text with machine translation, and synthesises the result into spoken audio using text‑to‑speech. Participants can hear the translation alongside the original speaker or replace it, and each user selects their own source and target languages. At launch the feature supports English, Chinese, Spanish, French and Japanese, with German, Portuguese, Arabic and Italian promised later in the year.

The rollout is available to Zoom’s enterprise customers and is opened with a single‑click activation. Zoom also announced plans for additional capabilities such as Voice Cloning, which would preserve a speaker’s vocal characteristics, and Translation Projection, which would automatically broadcast a speaker’s words in each listener’s language. In the same announcement Zoom introduced updates to its AI‑powered sales tool, Zoom Revenue Accelerator, adding real‑time deal guidance, natural‑language querying of conversation data, and AI‑driven role‑play simulations for sales coaching.
