ZUS educational and awareness initiatives in Poland

Overview

The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has implemented various educational campaigns targeting different age demographics in Poland.

In late September, ZUS announced its 10th annual Senior Days for October. The campaign, themed ‘Senior says: I CHECK. An aware senior in a world of disinformation’, aims to educate older citizens on identifying fake news, manipulated information, and various scams. The initiative includes workshops and consultations regarding pensions, social benefits, and financial security, supported by organizations such as the Polish Association of Retirees and Pensioners.

Concurrently, ZUS is conducting the ‘Lessons with ZUS’ project for high school students. This program provides instruction on social insurance, benefits, and business contributions. To encourage participation, students can enter a national knowledge olympiad, where laureates may receive academic incentives from 56 Polish universities, including admission guarantees and reduced tuition fees.
