Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Sparks New LEGO Set and Film Re‑releases
The 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter franchise is being marked worldwide with a series of new products and events. LEGO has unveiled a Collector’s Edition of the Ministry of Magic, a 3,491‑piece set featuring 14 minifigures and a special Lynx Patronus, slated for release on 1 September 2026 at a price of €429.99. A separate leak also hints at a free‑gift 152‑piece “Ministry Munchies and Daily Prophet Stands” set to be offered with qualifying purchases later in 2026.
In Mexico, Cinépolis will re‑screen the original film from 27 August to 2 September 2026, accompanied by a themed three‑course menu and collectible 3D‑printed cups and popcorn containers priced at MX$365 and MX$859 respectively. Similar commemorations are taking place in Europe, with LEGO’s new set available to insiders from 29 August and to the public from 1 September, and special cinema events highlighted in Venice and other cities.
Warner Bros. has announced that the HBO adaptation of the Harry Potter books will premiere on 25 December 2026, adding a streaming dimension to the anniversary celebrations.
