Morocco achieved a historic performance, finishing 7th in the general standings with a total of 44 medals: 16 gold, 9 silver, and 19 bronze. Athletics served as a primary driver for this success, highlighted by Yassine Hssine’s double gold in the 100m and 200m sprints, alongside standout performances by Fatima Ezzahra Birdaha. The Moroccan delegation also demonstrated versatility, earning medals across ten different disciplines, including boxing, karate, and tennis.

Algeria finished in 9th place, marking its best-ever performance at an international Mediterranean Games held outside of Algeria. The nation secured 40 medals: 13 gold, 8 silver, and 19 bronze. Key achievements included gymnastics standout Kaylia Nemour, who secured three gold medals in the individual all-around, uneven bars, and balance beam, and the Algerian U21 football team, which claimed the gold medal.

The games featured athletes from 26 nations competing across 30 disciplines. The flag has been passed to Pristina, Kosovo, which is scheduled to host the next edition in 2030.
