Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas enter financial dispute
Overview
Following her sold-out OAKA concert on September 26, 2026, a public financial dispute has emerged between Anna Vissi and composer Nikos Karvelas. While Karvelas’s absence from the performance was previously attributed to artistic disagreements, he has now claimed he did not receive his agreed-upon compensation.
Legal counsel for Vissi countered these claims, stating the conflict originated a week before the concert when Karvelas allegedly made an ‘unsubstantiated financial demand of 1.5 million euros’ and threatened to disrupt the event.
D&A Productions, the concert producer, issued a statement denying any debt to Karvelas. The company maintained that all legal and contractual obligations have been met, noting that a 250,000 euro advance was paid to AUTODIA, the collective management organization to which Karvelas has assigned his rights. The producer added that the final settlement will be determined based on the submitted set list.
