The 39th edition of the Sanremo Rock & Trend Festival, organized by Nove Eventi, progressed through a nationwide circuit of regional finals to its national conclusion.

In late August and early September, regional competitions were held, including the North Italy finals at the Castello Estense courtyard in Ferrara. These events featured various emerging artists in genres such as rock, indie, alternative, and metal, with winners advancing to the national stage.

The competition concluded on September 12 at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo. In the Sanremo Rock category, the band Graphite took first place and received the Hard Rock Cafe and Dophix awards. In the Sanremo Trend category, Zafira & The Funky Royale won the title and the Mameli award.
