Administrative and financial management in Entre Ríos

The province of Entre Ríos, Argentina, is managing various state-related administrative and financial matters involving public assets and infrastructure.

The Argentine Ministry of Economy, led by Luis Caputo, has officially acknowledged a debt exceeding 3.1 billion pesos owed to contractors for strategic sanitation infrastructure projects. These works were originally managed by the former National Entity of Water and Sanitation Works (ENOHSA). Specifically, the ministry confirmed a debt of 3,003,882,462 pesos for a potable water system in Concordia, which is 88.03% complete. Additionally, a sewage system expansion in Villaguay has reached 22.46% physical progress, with a recognized debt of 128,898,269 pesos.

Simultaneously, the provincial government has regularized 124,000 hectares of fiscal lands, covering 65 percent of the province’s total public land area. Primarily located in the Delta region—specifically within the Gualeguay and Victoria departments—this initiative uses the Land Occupation Regularization Program to convert irregular holdings into formal, revenue-generating assets through paid land-use permits.

This process is managed by the newly created Agency for the Administration of Assets of the Province of Entre Ríos (Aabiper). Eduardo Asueta, president of Aabiper, stated that the agency plans to conduct a detailed survey of approximately 200 lots to determine their productive characteristics and rental value, aiming to ensure permit costs reflect the true economic potential of the land.
