The weather event affected approximately 2,400 hectares, primarily in the Ribera del Júcar region. To expedite claims, about twenty expert adjusters have been deployed to the field to complete assessments within a few weeks. In instances where damage is deemed nearly total, the claim process may be finalized after a single inspection to accelerate payments.

In the Valencian Community, persimmon insurance covers roughly 80% of production, protecting about 12,000 hectares per season with insured capital exceeding 130 million euros. Agroseguro noted that insurance has been vital due to high loss rates in recent years caused by storms and extreme weather events. Beyond storm damage, the sector faces challenges from heatwaves, sunscald, and pests such as mealybugs and whiteflies.
