Further adoption of AI is seen in specialized clinical tools, such as the ‘DrNoon CVD’ at Hongseong Medical Center, which uses retinal imaging to predict cardiovascular risks like myocardial infarction within one minute. Additionally, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) has begun utilizing deep learning algorithms to assist in reviewing medical images for medical fee assessments, specifically starting with the knee joint field. HIRA maintains that while AI increases efficiency, all final professional decisions remain with human personnel.
