Overview

The No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide opened their 2026 football season at home against the East Carolina Pirates at Bryant-Denny Stadium, securing a 48-10 victory. Senior linebacker Yhonzae Pierre recorded a 27-yard interception return for a touchdown and also recorded a sack. Following the win, head coach Kalen DeBoer noted that while the team performed well, there are “areas to clean up in the film room.” The team now prepares for its first SEC matchup against Kentucky.
