The tool, which has rolled out in the US, will advise users to check official channels if verification cannot be completed with certainty, and any communication flagged as suspicious is automatically reported to Amazon’s security team.

Further expanding its AI-driven services, Amazon has introduced an AI shopping assistant via its official WhatsApp channel in the United Kingdom. This conversational tool enables users to receive product recommendations, discover deals, and find alternatives, though the final purchasing process remains within the Amazon app or website.

Most recently, Amazon introduced AI-driven tools through Alexa for Shopping—formerly known as Rufus—to monitor price fluctuations and automate purchases. Users can access a built-in Price History feature to view cost changes over 30, 90, or 365 days. For eligible Prime members, the assistant can automatically complete a purchase via Echo devices once a pre-selected price target is met.
