Ambev expands non-alcoholic beverage lineup

Overview

In late July 2026, Ambev rolled out two high-profile initiatives aimed at broadening its non-alcoholic portfolio and reaching new consumption occasions in Brazil. The company partnered with PlayStation to host the Liga Guaraná national gaming tournament during the Fortal indoor carnival festival, simultaneously launching Skol Zero Zero, a zero-sugar, 12-calorie non-alcoholic beer, and promoting it through on-site runs and delivery giveaways.

A few days later, Ambev announced Spaten Pro, its first protein-enriched non-alcoholic beer. Developed over five years with more than 100 prototypes at Ambev’s Centre of Innovation and Technology in Rio de Janeiro, the Munich-Dunkel-style brew contains 10g of protein per 350ml can (75% whey protein, 25% collagen), is zero-alcohol, zero-fat and under 100 kcal. Produced at the Ribeirão Preto plant, it was originally scheduled for a September debut in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Following high consumer interest, Ambev accelerated the release of Spaten Pro. Sales began in São Paulo via the Zé Delivery app, with availability expanding to Rio de Janeiro and online platforms such as Amazon. The 350ml cans are priced at R$12.90. Marketing vice-president Dani Waks stated the drink is meant to create new health-focused consumption occasions, complementing Ambev’s “balanced choices” portfolio that includes low-calorie, non-alcoholic and gluten-free options. This launch marks the first product of its kind within the global AB InBev portfolio.
