He returned at Misano, retired mid‑race, and completed a full weekend only at Donington, where he struggled to finish in the top ten. Media reports suggested he might re‑sign with BMW through 2028 and was linked with a possible factory Ducati seat. On 29 July 2026 BMW confirmed that Brad Binder will join its factory World Superbike team for the 2027 season, riding the M 1000 RR alongside Oliveira, who has now extended his contract with the German manufacturer.
