In the Military Police, Goiás leads with an average gross salary of approximately R$ 15,600. Despite high pay, Amazonas faces a severe staffing shortfall, with only 59.9% of authorized civil police positions filled.

Recruitment efforts are underway to address these gaps. In Bahia, the Civil Police is offering 750 positions, including delegates with salaries up to R$ 16,495.67. Piauí’s Military Police is conducting a contest for 1,001 opportunities, and Alagoas is recruiting 300 agents and clerks. These efforts follow previous announcements in São Paulo and Fortaleza to bolster security forces by 2028.
