Canon has officially announced the EOS R8 Mark II, a compact full-frame mirrorless camera designed for enthusiasts and content creators. The device is scheduled for a late October 2026 release.

Additionally, the camera features Dual Pixel 3D technology for generating spatial image data for 3D modeling.

Video specifications include uncropped 4K 60p via 6K oversampling, Full HD 180p, Canon Log 3, and custom LUT support. The redesigned body adopts a more angular, modern aesthetic inspired by the 1980s EOS T80 and includes a new multi-controller joystick. The camera weighs approximately 546g with battery and card. The estimated price for the body alone is $1,899, with kit options including the RF24-50mm lens and new accessories like the EG-E2 Extension Grip and Speedlite EL-5 Ver. 2.
