More recently, wind gusts exceeding 70 kilometers per hour in Arica caused further damage to the electrical distribution network, including blown roofs and flying debris. CGE deployed specialized brigades to repair medium-voltage poles and lines in sectors such as Diego Portales and Azolas, Santiago Arata, and Bajo Chinchorro. The company has committed to maintaining technical teams on the ground to monitor the grid as weather conditions persist.
