In Acari, Rio Grande do Norte, a 23-month-old boy died after being found in a bucket of water. The Civil Police have isolated the residence for forensic examination to determine how the child accessed the container.

In Senador Rui Palmeira, Alagoas, the investigation into the death of two-month-old Anny Emanuelly Nunes da Silva has progressed following the arrest of her 19-year-old father. The infant was brought to a health unit without vital signs, exhibiting bruises and a suspected leg fracture. While the father has denied allegations of physical abuse, claiming the injuries occurred when the child fell from a bed twice and that he attempted chest compressions to assist her during respiratory distress, initial reports from the mother suggested he was responsible for the maltreatment. The mother, a minor, has been released. The 2nd Regional Police Station of Santana do Ipanema is leading the inquiry, which awaits a necropsy report from the Medical Legal Institute (IML) to determine if the death resulted from accidents or physical aggression.
