As of 31 July 2026, former Formula 1 driver and analyst Christian Danner told OLBG that a Horner comeback is “not very likely”. Danner warned that Horner would “destroy the structure” at any top team and claimed that McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes “don’t need him”, suggesting Horner simply enjoy his wealth rather than seek a new role.
