The 2026 Copa Centroamericana tournament continues to see shifting dynamics across its groups.

In Group B, Alianza FC has secured a historic qualification for the quarter-finals following a 1-0 victory against CD Marathón in Honduras. Matías Mier scored the decisive goal in the 62nd minute, bringing Alianza’s total to nine points and placing them at the top of the group. This achievement makes Alianza the first Salvadoran team to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
