Hundreds of fans, former players, and football executives gathered at the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio in Milan to attend his funeral. The ceremony included attendees such as Inter Milan President Giuseppe Marotta and representatives from rival clubs Milan and Juventus, alongside former teammates Giuseppe Bergomi, Aristide Guarneri, and Ivan Ramiro Cordoba. Both the city of Milan and the municipality of Vedano al Lambro declared periods of mourning to honor his legacy.
