Cuban state media and leadership have highlighted new developments in radio programming. President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced the launch of ‘Criterio Compartido’ (Shared Criterion) on the state-run station Radio Rebelde. Notable distinctions included Abel Giraldo Guerrero Castro receiving the ‘Maestro de Radialistas 2026’ award, Jesús Rodríguez Román receiving the Commemorative Seal for the centenary of Cuban Radio, and Caridad Aguilar Rosabal being named ‘Artista Demérito’ by the Institute of Information and Social Communication.
