DJI ROMO P2 robot vacuum product expansion

Overview

DJI has expanded its home cleaning product line with the introduction of the ROMO P2 autonomous robot vacuum. The device applies drone-inspired navigation and spatial perception technologies, such as LiDAR, Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors, and dual fisheye cameras, to navigate complex environments and identify small or transparent obstacles, such as 2mm cables or glass.

Key features of the ROMO P2 include an extendable cleaning arm that rotates up to 123 degrees, providing an additional 7.8 centimeters of reach compared to the original ROMO model and allowing the mop to reach up to 4.5 centimeters deeper under furniture. The vacuum also includes a self-maintaining washing station, front lighting for low-light operation, and a suction power of 38,000 Pa.

The second-generation model features a distinctive transparent aesthetic that reveals internal components, a design choice described as polarizing. While noted for being quieter than many competitors and utilizing methodical room navigation, the ROMO P2 is priced at 1,299 euros in Europe. As of October 2026, the product is not yet officially available in the United States.
