DYPA Career Days and Employment Workshops in Greece

The Public Employment Service (DYPA) continues its series of regional employment initiatives across Greece. The 57th Career Day in Thessaloniki, held on September 11–12 at the Port of Thessaloniki, concluded with significant engagement. The event attracted 5,124 participants and recorded 6,025 resumes. According to reports, 932 candidates successfully advanced to second interviews. Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameus noted the event was the largest of its kind in Thessaloniki, highlighting efforts to address specialized labor shortages through apprenticeship programs.

The organization is moving forward with several upcoming events. The 58th Career Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at the Divani Caravel hotel in Athens. More than 140 companies will participate, offering over 3,500 vacancies across sectors including food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, construction, IT, telecommunications, renewable energy, and hospitality. Attendees can meet directly with recruitment managers and representatives from DYPA and the Medium and Large Enterprises Service Unit (MEMME).

In Corfu, the 12th ‘JobReady’ event will take place on Friday, October 16, at the Ionian Islands Region. This workshop-based initiative features sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, and skill identification, alongside ‘CV Corners’ and ‘Business Corners’ for personalized guidance. Looking ahead, the 59th Career Day is set for November 7 in Ioannina at the Du Lac Congress Center & Spa, featuring over 30 companies and approximately 700 job openings.

Additionally, DYPA plans to organize 109 group counseling workshops throughout November. This program includes 87 in-person workshops at 55 Employment Promotion Centers (KPA2) and 22 online sessions. Topics will cover digital entrepreneurship, social media for job searching, and adaptability skills.
