These talks also explored expanding economic cooperation, including potential collaboration in critical minerals, oil, and gas exploration. Noem emphasized Ecuador’s role as a ‘fundamental partner in regional stability’. To support domestic sectors, Noboa issued Executive Decree 507, suspending the workday on Friday, November 20, 2026, to boost internal tourism for the Festival Internacional de Artes Vivas in Loja.
