Garanti BBVA foreign bond issuance approvals

Overview

In late July 2026, Turkey’s Garanti BBVA announced that the Capital Markets Board (CMB) approved a €10 billion foreign-currency bond issuance under its Global Medium-Term Notes (GMTN) programme, scheduled for issue on 24 July 2026 with maturity in August 2029.

A week later, the bank received a second CMB approval for two USD-denominated bonds, each for $10 million, under the same GMTN framework. These bonds were dated at the end of July and early August 2026 and will mature in August 2027.

Expanding its multi-currency approach, Garanti BBVA received further CMB approvals in mid-August 2026. These include a $10,000,000 USD-denominated bond scheduled for issue on 11 August 2026, and a £17,700,000 GBP-denominated issuance issued on 10 August 2026. Both of these new issuances are set to mature on 16 August 2027.

In early August 2026, the CMB approved two additional USD-denominated bonds under the GMTN programme. The first, dated 31 July 2026, is for $10 million and matures on 5 August 2027, while the second, dated 3 August 2026, is also for $10 million and matures on 11 August 2027.

By mid-August 2026, the bank secured further approvals for larger issuances. These include a $400 million USD bond and a €100 million EUR bond, both issued on 14 August 2026 with a maturity date of 16 August 2029.

In September 2026, the bank received further CMB approval for a USD-denominated bond (ISIN XS3502107686) in the amount of $15,000,000. This issuance was dated 10 September 2026 and is set to mature on 20 September 2029.
