In the United States, UVA Health has established the only dedicated robotic cardiac surgery program in Virginia, utilizing the da Vinci 5 system. Similarly, Adventist Health in California has expanded its capabilities by adding a second da Vinci Xi system to its main hospital and Ker Outpatient Center to serve the Central Valley, where robotic technology is now used in approximately 60% of general surgery cases. In Canada, the Victoria Hospitals Foundation completed a $38 million fundraising campaign to equip the Royal Jubilee and Victoria General hospitals with robotic systems, including two da Vinci systems and a Mazor X neurosurgical robot. In Morocco, the Oncorad Group reported in the Journal of Robotic Surgery that 134 robot-assisted radical prostatectomies at the Littoral Clinic in Casablanca resulted in no deaths and a 1.5% major postoperative complication rate, with urinary continence reaching 88.2% of patients at twelve months.
