Greece 2026 holiday and tourism planning

Overview

The ‘Tourism for All 2026-2027’ program, which provides digital vouchers between 200 and 600 euros for domestic travel, concluded its application window on August 21, 2026. The initiative recorded 1,156,017 applications, with 70.93% requesting support for the low season (October to April) and 29.07% for the high season. To extend the travel season, 70% of resources are allocated to the low season.

Following the first-phase draw, the Greek Ministry of Tourism announced that beneficiaries can now verify their status via the official digital platform. To protect privacy, status checks are conducted using application numbers rather than personal names, displaying only the last four digits of the applicant's tax ID and their lottery sequence.

Beneficiaries are categorized into Low Season and High Season groups. Once files are transferred to selected banks, digital intangible cards are expected to be issued within two days. Recipients will receive bank instructions and an email to create a password for card activation. The subsidy, ranging from €200 to €400 for standard applicants (and up to €600 for certain individuals with disabilities), covers accommodations such as hotels and campsites. The digital card can be used for online bookings or via POS terminals at participating businesses and remains active only during the specific period declared in the application.

Phase one covers periods through June 30, 2027. A second phase, running from June 30 to December 31, 2027, will be supported by additional funding and will select beneficiaries from the existing waiting list without requiring new applications.
