In defense of the government, Skertsos highlighted that annual grid upgrade investments have risen from approximately €400 million in 2019 to over €1.5 billion. He also cited a Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) study indicating that Greece achieved 10.8 percent real GDP growth between 2019 and 2025, outperforming comparable nations such as Italy and Spain.
