HexClad expansion into Italy and product diversification
Overview
HexClad, a premium cookware company based in Los Angeles, has initiated an expansion into the Italian market. To support this move, the brand partnered with Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura, who joined the company’s Global Culinary Council. This partnership also includes a three-year global collaboration with Bottura’s nonprofit, Food for Soul, which focuses on addressing food waste and social isolation.
Following the market entry, HexClad has further diversified its offerings by launching a new Hybrid Bakeware collection. Developed over four years, this six-piece set includes four cake molds, a baking sheet, and a cooling rack, priced at 349 euros. The collection utilizes the company’s signature hybrid technology and a specially adjusted, PFAS-free TerraBond ceramic nonstick coating.
Designed for durability and performance, the bakeware features an aluminum core to ensure rapid heating and even heat distribution to prevent warping. The products are oven-safe up to 480 °C, dishwasher safe, and compatible with metal utensils. CEO and co-founder Daniel Winer noted that the development process was complex, aiming to balance non-stick performance, durability, and quality to meet high consumer demand for baking solutions.
