Hisense smart home AI operating system development

Overview

Hisense has introduced new AI-driven operating systems designed to transform the role of televisions and smart appliances within the home ecosystem.

Initially, the company launched Hisense JUOS, an artificial intelligence operating system (AIOS) powered by the Xinghai Large Model. This system utilizes a system-level AI agent called ‘Super Xiaoju’ to provide proactive services and personalized content across multiple terminals, including projectors and smart appliances. The architecture has received L3 intelligence certification for large-screen AI.

At IFA 2026, Hisense expanded this vision by transitioning its television operating system from VIDAA OS to V AIOS. Built on the ConnectLife platform, V AIOS is designed to integrate with third-party devices, allowing the screen to monitor environmental context and serve as a voice-command interface. Furthering this ecosystem, Hisense introduced the AI Companion Suite to manage tasks across kitchen, laundry, and climate control sectors.

Expanding the practical application of the AI Companion Suite and ConnectLife platform, Hisense has launched the PureSmart Duo Series AI refrigerators. This new line includes a four-door model with 611 liters of storage and an integrated 21-inch smart screen. The screen enables users to stream content via the VIDDA platform, watch live TV, or play music. Additionally, the series features a ‘Beverage Master’ function for drink creation and an ice and water system providing crescent ice, crushed ice, and UV-purified water with a 99.9% sterilization rate.
