Inaugural Parasport Romania Games in Bucharest

The Romanian National Paralympic Committee organized the inaugural Parasport Romania Games in Bucharest from September 1 to September 5, 2026. Following the conclusion of the games, the CSM Lugoj club emerged as a major winner. Their seven-athlete delegation secured 31 medals, consisting of 18 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze. Standout performers included Doina-Viorica Părăian, who earned five gold medals in javelin, shot put, powerlifting, powerlifting open, and the 100m, as well as two silver medals in table tennis. Gabriel Petru Dumitru also achieved four gold medals in shot put, javelin, discus throw, and powerlifting. Other notable contributors were Mărioara Stămescu and Camelia Dijmărescu, who each secured three gold medals.
