While the DMK indicated it would support a parliamentary removal motion, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is not participating. Additionally, the Congress Working Committee has called for the resignations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on moral grounds.

Nationwide protests have been launched by groups including the Congress and the Indian Youth Congress, with demonstrations occurring in cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, and Hyderabad. Legal challenges have also emerged; the Supreme Court of India has agreed to hear a petition regarding the functioning of the ECI and the conduct of Gyanesh Kumar, alleging he has bypassed collective decision-making processes.
