Kelly Osbourne's response to Ozzy Osbourne's death and rifts
Overview
Kelly Osbourne has provided further details regarding the severe physical and mental health challenges she faced following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025. Osbourne previously addressed public concerns regarding her appearance, admitting she looked like a ‘skeleton’ and describing her state as looking like the ‘f---ing Crypt Keeper.’
In recent months, Osbourne has addressed her recovery and physical changes. Following an appearance at the BRIT Awards, she revealed she has gained approximately 28 to 30 pounds. She denied having an eating disorder, explaining that grief and the end of her engagement to Sid Wilson caused a period where she ‘just couldn’t do anything’ for herself and experienced nausea when eating. She noted that her mother, Sharon Osbourne, helped facilitate professional support through a therapist and life coach.
Osbourne described the period following her father's death as the “worst year” of her life. She shared that during her lowest point, she performed a ritual at her father's grave using a white candle to ask for help. She credited her mother and therapist Chris Miller with helping her find stability.
Osbourne also made her first runway appearance in over a decade at London Fashion Week, walking for designer Natasha Zinko. During the show, she paid tribute to her father by carrying a bat-shaped figurine.
In addition to her personal health, Osbourne has discussed her ongoing journey with sobriety, having achieved eight months of sobriety following a relapse. She has also addressed an ongoing estrangement from her sister, Aimee Osbourne, stating there is ‘no hope for reconciliation’ because she has effectively cut Aimee out of her life.
