Following an inspection of the Olusosun dumpsite, the Governor announced plans to increase waste truck capacity and activate new reception facilities in Alimosho, Ikorodu, Epe, and Badagry. The state intends to construct transfer loading stations and material recovery sites to improve turnaround times. Concurrently, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has initiated enforcement actions, including the arrest of a resident for dumping refuse into drainage channels.
