In Yanomami territory, Ministry of Health data shows deaths reached between 1,121 and 1,138 between 2023 and 2025, driven by infectious diseases and illegal mining. Additionally, broader trends in urban areas show rising violence against women; in São Paulo, femicides reached 141 cases in the first half of 2026, a 10% increase from the previous year.
