Lidl retail modernization in Central Europe

While upgrades in Plzeň and České Budějovice are complete, locations in Bohumín, Holice, Rumburk, Slaný, Říčany, Tábor, and Znojmo face temporary closures depending on construction progress. The company is also rolling out the Cvak payment system, a mobile banking-based account-to-account (A2A) transfer method developed with Air Bank to serve as a reliable alternative to traditional card payments.

In Hungary, the retailer is conducting promotional activities, including product sweepstakes and vitamin-themed campaigns where participants can win prizes by uploading receipts.
