Melaka hosted 75,000 attendees in Klebang, and Penang recorded 25,000 participants at Padang Kota Lama. In Kelantan, crowds gathered at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium for evening festivities involving religious programs and fireworks.

Other activities included a Merdeka Eve concert in Sarawak, a community festival on Pulau Tuba, and a palm oil-themed run in Johor. During the festivities, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim highlighted several government initiatives intended to address public needs, such as school maintenance, fuel subsidies, and digital health investments. While the celebrations were largely successful, social media discussions emerged regarding crowd management and public etiquette at major venues.
