Mato Grosso MT Produtivo program support details
Overview
The Mato Grosso State Secretariat for Family Farming (SEAF-MT) has extended the registration deadline for the MT Produtivo program to October 26. The initiative, coordinated in partnership with the World Bank, targets productive organizations such as associations and cooperatives representing family farmers across 61 municipalities.
The program provides technical guidance for business plans to strengthen productive chains, improve production, increase market access, and enhance climate resilience. It offers non-reimbursable resources through two distinct modalities: the ‘Commercial’ modality, which provides up to R$ 3 million per project for established organizations, and the ‘Emerging’ modality, which offers up to R$ 1.1 million for groups with potential to expand and market surplus production.
Eligible sectors include dairy cattle, fruit and vegetable cultivation, cassava, coffee, cocoa, apiculture, and meliponiculture. Support also extends to socio-biodiversity products like Brazil nuts, baru, babaçu, buriti, açaí, rubber, and pequi, as well as medicinal plants, handicrafts, and rural or ecological tourism.
As of mid-October, 187 productive organizations have registered in the system, with 102 currently completing diagnostic and proposal forms. The program aims to select at least 128 rural enterprises.
