MHP district congress rollout continues nationwide

Entities: Mehmet Kurt · Turgay Şengönül · Seçkin Kızılışık · Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) · Ahmet Aslan

Overview

The rollout continued in early June with the party’s first district congresses in eastern Turkey. In Erzurum, provincial chairman Adem Yurdagül announced a timetable covering all 19 districts from 27 June to 19 July, emphasizing “unity and revival.” In Ankara, the Yenimahalle branch held its 12th ordinary congress on 6 June, with 423 delegates hearing a message from Devlet Bahçeli urging cohesion and organisational focus.

A week later the MHP accelerated the schedule, arranging weekend congresses in eight Ankara districts (Yenimahalle, Beypazarı, Çubuk, Gölbaşı, Etimesgut, Pursaklar, Keçiören, Mamak) on 6‑8 July and in four Istanbul districts (Eyüpsultan, Esenler, Beykoz, Maltepe) on 7‑8 July, under the theme “Kardeşlik Kalbimizde, Gelecek Aklımızda,” as preparation for the 15th Ordinary Grand Congress slated for 7 March 2027.

In Konya, newly appointed provincial chairman Sedat Göncü launched a timetable for congresses in 13 districts between 27 June and 5 July, aiming to boost organisational dynamism.

The series concluded in early August with 15th ordinary congresses in İncesu and Hekimhan, where incumbents Seçkin Kızılışık and Efendi Akyüz were re‑elected unopposed, reaffirming the party’s unity and its “Turkey’s Century” agenda.
