Netflix expansion of Physical 100 franchise

Overview

Netflix is expanding its global footprint for the South Korean reality competition series ‘Physical: 100’ through regional adaptations.

In Italy, the series ‘Physical Italia: da 100 a 1’ has concluded. After narrowing 100 contestants down to six finalists, the competition culminated in intense physical challenges testing strength, agility, and endurance. Judoka Emanuele Bruno emerged as the winner, securing a top prize of 100,000 euros. The final stages included a semi-final pull-up challenge and a grueling obstacle course. Other notable participants included gymnast and firefighter Tommaso Nisi, who reached the final stages, and surfer Edoardo Papa, who finished in sixth place after withdrawing during a monkey bar challenge.

In Mexico, the adaptation ‘Habilidad física 100: México’ premiered its first seven episodes on September 16, 2026. The competition features 100 participants from diverse disciplines, including professional and amateur athletes, wrestlers, firefighters, and members of the Mexican Army. Notable figures include former world champion boxer Juan Francisco ‘Gallo’ Estrada, Olympic runner Jesús Tonatiú López, professional wrestler Místico, and television personality Vanessa Huppenkothen. After 50 participants were eliminated during the initial episodes, the final two episodes are scheduled for release on September 23, 2026.
