OTO Park development in Siemianowice Śląskie

The OTO Park retail complex in Siemianowice Śląskie is scheduled to open on August 27. Developed by Falcon Investment Management and Acteeum Central Europe, the project repurposes the former Laura and Jedność steelworks brownfield site into over 20,000 square meters of retail and service space.

The development is expected to host approximately 40 tenants, including Lidl, Rossmann, and Media Expert, and is projected to create roughly 300 new jobs. Built to BREEAM Excellent standards, the site integrates commercial activity with recreational amenities such as a playground, skate park, and cycling circuit.

The opening will feature a four-day event including musical performances and artistic shows. The launch also serves to preserve local industrial heritage through the inauguration of the Park Pamięci (Memory Park), the unveiling of the Pomnik Hutnika (Steelworker Monument), and the presentation of a restored monument dedicated to steelworking brothers. The event program is expected to include local dance and song groups, as well as a concert by the artist Skolim.

Upon its official opening, the complex will serve approximately 280,000 residents within the Upper Silesian Metropolis, offering 550 parking spaces and public transport access. Notably, the drugstore chain dm will open its first location in the city at the site, featuring a 478-square-meter store focused on beauty products, makeup stations, and photographic services. The development also incorporates the Steelworkers’ Memorial Square to maintain the area's industrial history.
