In August 2026, reports highlighted a surge in road incidents, including a moose collision in Lisia Góra and a four-car pileup on road 984. Pedestrian-related incidents have seen a significant rise, with statistics now showing 240 accidents involving pedestrians this year, resulting in 14 deaths and 437 injuries. Law enforcement has also noted a surge in violations involving young drivers and electric vehicles, such as a 14-year-old operating an illegal electric cross and a 25-year-old using a modified electric scooter capable of reaching 50 km/h.
