Reggio Calabria police public safety enforcement

Overview

During the July-August period, the Reggio Calabria Police Headquarters implemented 70 personal preventive measures aimed at enhancing public safety and social coexistence.

Following investigations by the Anti-Crime Police Division, authorities issued various measures to address specific social risks. These included 10 Daspo orders, with seven related to illegal conduct at sporting events and three five-year measures for individuals deemed a social danger outside of sports.

Law enforcement also issued 24 warnings, covering 10 instances of stalking and 14 of domestic violence, alongside 16 oral warnings. Furthermore, eight mandatory expulsion orders were issued to individuals from other provinces suspected of crimes against persons or property, prohibiting their return to the Reggio area for periods ranging from six months to four years. Nine proposals for special public security surveillance were also submitted to the local court.
