ReggioFest 2026 cultural events in Reggio Calabria
Overview
The ReggioFest 2026 – Cultura Diffusa project in Reggio Calabria includes several cultural events throughout the late summer of 2026.
The Allegria Festival launched in the Pellaro and Bocale districts, featuring a multidisciplinary program of live performances, workshops, and family activities such as visual comedy, physical theater, and puppet shows.
Following this, the second edition of the AGAPE festival, titled ‘Le sfumature dell’Amore’, was scheduled to run from September 3 to 25. This festival focuses on the Grecanico language and Greek identity in Calabria, utilizing theater, dance, and immersive performances to promote the language as a tool for contemporary artistic creation. This edition was dedicated to the memory of poet and scholar Salvino Nucera.
As part of the broader ReggioFest 2026 programming organized by Teatri Calabresi Associati, additional events are scheduled from September 6 to 9. Curated by artistic director Domenico Pantano, this segment includes various performances at Piazza Sant’Ambrogio, such as a ‘Gran Galà dell’operetta’, Machiavelli’s ‘Mandragola’, and Molière’s ‘Il malato immaginario’.
