These efforts have already included training 300 doctors in Torreón, alongside sessions in Monclova and Piedras Negras. Additionally, health jurisdictions are conducting fumigation activities as a preventive measure. By the end of September 2026, health authorities reported that the total number of confirmed cases rose to 58, with 42 deaths recorded. The mortality rate remains above 70 percent.
