In the aftermath, Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere has formally requested that ANAC consider a temporary suspension of scenic flights for one to two weeks to facilitate rigorous inspections. The Mayor has called for intensified oversight regarding aircraft maintenance, helipads, and flight frequencies, noting that this tragedy follows another aerial accident in the city within approximately six weeks. While the municipal government has officially communicated this request to the president of ANAC, the Mayor acknowledged that the federal agency maintains final authority over regulatory decisions.
