A second stage for all levels is set for January 18 to October 15, 2027.

In Porto Alegre, 1st grade Elementary School registration is open until November 6, 2026, via the State Secretariat of Education website. Additionally, the municipal network requires guardians to visit designated schools to finalize transitions from early childhood education to the first year of elementary school between October 21 and November 13. Mandatory documentation includes birth certificates, CPF, and guardian identification, as well as updated vaccination records.

In Farroupilha, the municipal network requires online enrollment and transfers for Elementary School between October 5 and October 30, 2026, with in-person re-enrollments from November 3 to November 13, 2026. The state network in the region follows a two-stage process from October 2026 through January 2027.
