Rolex seasonal Daytona charity auction results
Overview
Rolex has unveiled four unique, gem-set Cosmograph Daytona timepieces inspired by the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. These one-of-a-kind watches feature various precious metals, including platinum, white gold, Everose gold, and yellow gold, paired with natural-stone dials and colored gemstones.
Scheduled for auction by Phillips in London on 28 September 2026, the sale was part of the Rolex Perpetual Planet Initiative, with all proceeds benefiting the Federer Foundation and the environmental organization Re:wild. These foundations are led by Rolex Testimonees Roger Federer and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The collection utilizes the contemporary calibre 4131 movement and includes 54 brilliant-cut diamonds set into the lugs and crown guards. Specific material compositions include:
• Spring: 18 ct white gold with a green chrysoprase dial, lilac lepidolite counters, and purple sapphire accents. • Summer: 18 ct Everose gold with an azure turquoise dial, heart-shaped ruby counters, and pink sapphires. • Autumn: 18 ct yellow gold with a mookaite dial, chrysoprase sub-dials, and green tourmalines. • Winter: 950 platinum with a blue opal dial, lapis lazuli counters, and graduating blue-to-fuchsia sapphires.
While the set was previously valued at CHF4 million at Watches and Wonders in Geneva, reports indicate that private offers had reached $10 million. Following the auction, the four timepieces sold for a combined total of approximately £37.3 million ($49.5 million), marking Rolex’s first-ever charity auction. The ‘Summer’ Daytona fetched the highest individual price at $13.65 million, followed by ‘Autumn’ at $13.5 million, ‘Winter’ at $13.2 million, and ‘Spring’ at $9 million.
