In August, during a presentation at the Council of the Americas, Sáenz expanded this vision by highlighting the coordinated efforts of Salta, Catamarca, and Jujuy to capitalize on the global energy transition through resources like lithium, gold, silver, and borates. He noted that ongoing projects from companies such as Río Tinto, Costco, and AbraSilver currently exceed $5 billion in investment, with projections reaching $12 billion in the near term. To sustain this growth, the governor stressed the necessity of integrating local communities through hiring and training programs, while identifying a critical need for improved logistics and energy infrastructure, including roads, gas pipelines, aqueducts, and railway corridors.
