In late July 2026 the Saskatchewan RCMP continued to publicise a multi‑pronged enforcement agenda. On July 25 it issued its monthly most‑wanted list, highlighting ten high‑risk offenders and noting that 13 arrests had been made since the start of 2026, while curfew checks and specialist response teams were deployed in the North District. Three days later, the force released homicide statistics for 2025 and early 2026, reporting 34 files (40 victims) examined, 23 cases solved and 30 charges laid, with 21 new homicide investigations opened in 2026 and 15 charges filed; forensic and digital units were credited for the outcomes. On July 30 the RCMP disclosed traffic‑safety data, recording 31 fatal impaired‑driving crashes in 2025—the highest in a decade—alongside 82 serious impairment incidents. Police charged 1,650 drivers and suspended 2,270 licences, and announced expanded roadside checks, patrols and driver‑education programmes ahead of long‑weekend travel.

On the night of July 29‑30 the Battlefords detachment reported receiving more than 60 calls for service, describing it as one of the busiest evenings of the summer. Calls included serious assaults at a residence on Sweetgrass First Nation and at a park in North Battleford, resulting in two injuries and the arrest of a suspect, as well as four additional assaults, three vehicle‑thefts, numerous disturbances of the peace and a safe recovery of a missing person. A separate dangerous‑driving stop on Highway 11 near Regina involved both the RCMP and the Regina Police Service; after the driver fled, a police dog helped apprehend him, and the female passenger who took over the wheel was arrested for fleeing an officer. Both suspects remain in custody pending court appearances. Together, these updates illustrate the RCMP’s simultaneous focus on violent‑crime resolution and preventative road‑safety measures across Saskatchewan.
